Our Story: Born on the Slopes

SwapSanity was born out of a simple need on a volunteer ski patrol. We loved helping people on the mountain, but managing our shifts was a constant headache. Our team would use a combination of group chats and emails to swap shifts, and the result was pure chaos. Shifts were accidentally left uncovered, people were double-booked, and a mountain of administrative work fell to a few exhausted leaders. We were spending more time trying to fix the schedule than we were on the slopes.

We knew there had to be a better way. We needed a system that would allow patrollers to swap shifts easily and securely, without the risk of leaving the patrol understaffed. Our solution was to build a simple application that automated the rules of the patrol. It let patrollers trade shifts with a few taps, while the app’s logic ensured every position was always filled by a qualified volunteer.

What started as a small tool for our ski patrol quickly grew into something bigger. We realized this wasn’t just a ski patrol problem—it was a problem for any organization with a dynamic, shift-based schedule.

Today, SwapSanity is a full-featured resource management platform, but our mission remains the same: to bring sanity back to scheduling. We believe that managing a team should be simple, efficient, and flexible, so you can focus on the work that truly matters.
