Home Screen

The Home Screen is your central dashboard for SwapSanity. It provides a unified, color-coded calendar view of your own shifts and available trade requests from your group.

The Unified Calendar View

The home screen features an interactive calendar that helps you visualize your work schedule and available trades at a glance.

Calendar Markers (Dots & Shapes)

Each day on the calendar may have colored symbols beneath the date, indicating the types of shifts occurring on that day:

  • Blue Circle: An upcoming shift assigned to you.
  • Orange Triangle: A shift assigned to you for which you have requested a trade.
  • Green Square: A shift requested for trade by another member of your group that is available for you to accept.

Viewing Daily Details

Tap on any day in the calendar to see a detailed list of shifts for that day below the calendar.

  • My Shifts: Your assigned shifts appear on blue or indigo cards.
  • Trade Requests: Shifts available for trade appear on green cards. If a trade is “Compatible” (meaning you have offered a shift the owner is willing to accept), it will be highlighted in a darker green.

Clocking In and Out

For shifts occurring today, you will see a Clock In icon (a timer) on the shift card.

  1. Tap the timer icon to open the QR scanner.
  2. Scan the QR code provided by your group’s administrator or displayed on the work site terminal.
  3. Once clocked in, the icon will change to a Clock Out icon.

If you are working an Unscheduled Shift (one that wasn’t previously on the calendar), use the QR scanner icon in the top app bar to clock in. These shifts will appear with an “Unscheduled” label on your home screen once you have clocked in.
